this is a common fault. as long as you are not loosing compression dont worry about it. do it when you come to replace the cam chain. lenght of time would depend on your skills and whether you had a helper.there is no room to remove the head so the engfine will have to com out, I reckon you could easily do it with a helper, in an out head off new gasket set valve clearances, adjust cam in under three hours. with no beer breaks.
